Here at Creation Road we are always interested in what is happening creatively in communities right around the world. So when we heard about the Sarasota Chalk Festival in Florida, USA, we had to find out more.
The week-long festival will run from 1 November to 7 November 2011 and will feature performance art by over 250 of the most renowned artists who use chalk as their medium and pavement as their canvas, turning streets into a museum in motion.
The festival is free to the public and expected to draw over 100,000 spectators to the picturesque Gulf Coast community located just south of Tampa Bay.
